ALEC M. SCHWARTZ, M.D.

Dr. Schwartz is highly trained to diagnose and treat diseases and conditions of the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive system.  Dr. Schwartz combines his clinical expertise with state-of-the-art modalities and supports a behavioral approach in treating the most delicate of bodily conditions.  He also aims to provide a sense of comfort by involving patients in decision-making and working together with patients’ physicians and families in carrying out the optimal treatment plan. 

Dr. Schwartz earned a Bachelor of Arts from Clark University with a major in Sociology and minor in Psychology.  After leaving college and gaining work experience, Dr. Schwartz found his calling in medicine.  He completed the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University and subsequently achieved his medical degree from New York Medical College.  Dr. Schwartz progressed to internship in General Surgery at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City, followed by his Urology residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.  After years of specialized training and successful examination, Dr. Schwartz obtained board certification in 2005.    

Dr. Schwartz has extensive experience across the Tri-State Region and treated patients at White Plains Hospital, Westchester Medical Center, St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital, Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, and St. Barnabas Hospital.  He is the founding partner and president of Manhattan Urology Associates and holds privileges at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Schwartz is a member of the American Medical Association, Medical Society of New York, American Urological Association, and New York Section of the American Urological Society and recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
